COMMUNITY GROUPS

Don't miss this key method of growing in biblical fellowship as groups of 8 to 14 people meet in homes and build relationships with one another in order to become better followers of Christ. Please pray about your involvement in this vital ministry for the next year.

Purposes of Community Groups:

  1. Authentic Relationships – Community Groups provide the best setting for people to come together to learn from, listen to, and care for each other. It is in this setting that believers live out the "one anothers" of scripture (Intimacy, confidentiality, prayer, care, sharing, belonging). Membership

  2. Spiritual Transformation – A non-negotiable purpose of Community Groups is that they enable members to continually grow spiritually and become stronger in their faith and obedience. This is attained as the group biblically applies God's Word to real life, provides accountability and grows together. (Bible study, accountability, stewardship, worship) Maturity

    3 Circles of Relationships
  3. Intentional Shepherding – By definition, a disciple, or a mature believer, should be investing himself or herself into the lives of other believers by encouraging, equipping and mentoring others for ministry. All members are encouraged to discover and utilize their spiritual giftedness. (Apprentice, equip, service, counsel) Ministry

  4. Loving Compassion – Community Groups grow strong inwardly for the purpose of reaching outward. Community Groups exist to help reach out and assimilate un-churched neighbors and friends. They also reach out to impact the world around them through compassion ministries and projects. (Evangelism, compassion, outreach) Mission
